据警察说，陈先生和丈夫赵良杰去年1月9日骗假警察说女儿赵艾莉失踪了，调查员第二天在北坎顿夫妇经营的中华料理店发现了女儿的遗体。

根据迄今为止的报道，警察以陈先生用右拳多次打女儿的头为主要死因。 当时，父亲看到女儿嘴里流出绿色的液体，赶紧带她去厕所洗脸。 发现没有呼吸，马上实施心肺复苏，但缺乏恢复。 根据迄今为止的调查，被杀的5岁幼女的尸体被放在厨房的容器里，被盐巴完全复盖后，藏在餐厅的冰箱里。
